70M TRUCK MOUNTED PLATFORM HIRE AT MANCHESTER UNITED

Blade Access have been called upon to provide a safe working at height solution at this iconic football stadium in Manchester

Old Trafford is the home of Manchester United F.C. and has a capacity of 75,731 and is the second-largest football stadium in the United Kingdom after Wembley.

Old Trafford, nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams by Bobby Charlton, has been United’s home ground since 1910, although from 1941 to 1949, as a result of bomb damage during the Second World War, the club shared Maine Road with local rivals Manchester City.

However, these days Manchester United F.C are right at home but as with most large building structures these do have their on-going maintenance requirements.

Standing at 55m high, the stadium required a large Truck Mounted Platform for contractors to work at height safely. Following a detailed site survey completed by one of our specialist surveyors, the most suitable platform selected for the proposed works was a 70m Truck Mount Access Platform. Providing generous outreach at 55m high, contractors were able to access all the required areas of the roof structure on the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.

Supplied with a highly skilled IPAF operator from our specialist division, he ensured every aspect of the hire was deployed with the highest levels of safety in mind.

With all works completed, our safe working drop zone was removed allowing our truck mount platform to leave site causing minimal disruption on the day.
