Flying The Flag For Safe Working At Height

Supplying all our services DIRECT means we have the ability to mobilise at short notice when needed!

The work on this London Flagpole had been planned for a while but due to ongoing HS2 works, it was proving difficult to obtain permission to work from Camden Council.

On Thursday 5th September, Blade Access were advised that we had a ‘last minute’ opening to get on to site and complete the works as early as Sunday 8th September subject to obtaining the necessary permissions which included

• Crane Licence with Camden Council (Typically Requires 10 Working Days’ Notice)

• Out of Hours Approval (Usually Requires 20 Working Days’ Notice)

• Traffic Light Switch Out – The Booking and Deployment of a Pedestrian Crossing System

• X2 Bus Stop Suspensions (Normally takes 7 Working Days to arrange with Transport for London)

Our team worked relentlessly behind the scenes to make this happen and true to form they came up with the goods!

Subsequently, with the formalities in place, we deployed a complete approved TM/PM scheme alongside one of our 70m Truck Mounted Platforms which was hired and deployed from our London Depot. Looking for a trusted working at height partner?
