What is a Truck Mounted Platform?
A Truck Mounted Cherry Picker is a Powered Access Platform permanently installed on to the back of a Truck chassis. While the additional weight of the Truck can also act as a counter-balance weight when the Cherry Picker is in use, the Platform also has four extending outriggers to ensure maximum stability when working at height.
What applications are best suited to Truck Mounted Platforms?
Truck Mounted Cherry Pickers are very versatile and suited to many different work applications, many of which are mentioned on the homepage of our website.
Energy and communications infrastructure projects in particular favour the use of Truck Mounted Cherry Pickers due to the varied site locations and increased safe working loads that these Platforms can offer. Truck Mount Cherry Pickers are also hired for their renowned outreach capabilities with some models offering up to 43m of lateral outreach.
The versatility of Truck Mounted Cherry Pickers means they are equally suited to urban or remote site applications, and with variable outrigger options, they have a relatively compact footprint meaning they are ideal for even restricted site conditions.
